Your Stars June 2025

There’s a relentless quality to 2025 that shows no sign of slowing down in June. You can point a finger at the fact there are almost no planets in retrograde now – Just the one, Pluto. Also the new location of big beasts Saturn and Neptune is a Very Big Omen for astrologers – both are now in Aries, albeit only  for a few months before the pair return and merge in February 2026. The last time that happened was coincidental with the fall of the Berlin Wall and all that followed.

Small wonder that politicians keep telling us that ‘the world has changed’ and ‘we are in a new era’ or ‘we are the crossroads of history’. They are, even without the benefit of a planetary ephemeris, probably right!

On a lesser scale, June does sound some very sweet notes. The two ‘benefics’, Venus and Jupiter, both move into signs where they are ‘in dignity’ i.e. extra strong; Venus is in Taurus, a sign it rules from June 6, while Jupiter arrives in Cancer, where it is traditionally reckoned ‘exalted’ on June 9.That puts a nice shine on the annual summer solstice – precise at 02.42 GMT- when the druid horns sound out to honour the Sun at its peak.

Celestial Timetable

  • The Sun moves from Gemini to Cancer – the Summer Solstice – on June 21
  • Full Moon in Sagittarius on June 11 at 07.44 GMT
  • New Moon in Cancer  on June 25 at 10.32 GMT
  • Mercury begins the month in Gemini, moves to Cancer on June 8 and to Leo on June 26
  • Venus is in Aries as June begins, moving to Taurus on June 6
  • Mars begins June in Leo and moves on to Virgo on June 17
  • Jupiter is in Gemini until June 9 when the giant planet moves into Cancer
  • Saturn is in Aries all month
  • Prometheus is in Taurus all month but moves on to Gemini in early July on 7th
  • Neptune is now in Aries
  • Pluto is retrograde in Aquarius all month

Gemini and Gemini rising

Ever alert, always adaptable, wits razor sharp – it shouldn’t be difficult to be your best Gemini self in June, at least in the opening nine days, when Jupiter finishes its twelve-month transit of your sign. As the freedom loving planet leaves, it makes a splendid conjunction with your ruler Mercury, a moment of luck or sudden opportunity perhaps, or a big farewell to a person or circumstance. That feeling is enhanced by the full Moon in your opposite sign on June 11. A cycle, however minor, is drawing to a close. Jupiter’s new position, incidentally, has material wealth in its sights. Free money? You can hope.

One door closes, another opens – the duo of Saturn and Neptune , who have been leaning on your professional prospects for the past two or  three years, not necessarily in a helpful way,  have moved on to a less pressured position that favours networking – your forte, surely – and being one of a team. Saturn always has a serious edge, but Neptune…who knows what one is going to get, a plumb gig full of glamour or an unsavoury chunk of fake news? Elsewhere Mars shifts to the root of your solar chart on the 17th, ready for a summer of domestic drama. Remember, mend the roof while the sun shines. Happy Birthday.

 Cancer and Cancer rising

cancerAnd away you go! No need to wait until the Sun arrives at the solstice, nor until the new Moon arrives in Cancer on the 25th. Helpful though these events are, they merely supercharge the presence of mighty Jupiter in the Crab’s skies from June 9. The giant planet has many meanings – it’s flashy, lucky, presidential, noble, travel crazy by turns – but essentially, and especially in your sign where it is by tradition ‘exalted’ – it’s about aiming high and thinking big. Banishing the ‘I’ll never be able to…’ mentality. Maybe you will fail but at least give your desires a determined best shot.

Jupiter is with you for the next twelve months and will touch the Sun of most Cancer birthdays by November with June birthdays in the frame this month. Oh, and there is also Venus in the mix, the planet of relating in a zone where you meet people – the more the better just now, even if none quite click the way they might. Ructions elsewhere – Saturn and Neptune reaching the peak of your solar chart  – bring with them different demands. Saturn calls for graft, not luck, while Neptune can lend you glamour or take you for a chump – the latter especially as June draws to a close. Have a dash of contempt up your sleeve! Happy Birthday.

 Leo and Leo rising

First things first: your Sun ruler in Gemini is always good for a gambol (and maybe a gamble) around town to remind people you are still very much alive and kicking. The full Moon of the 11th, being in the Centaur, a fellow fire sign, is about showing off (don’t pretend you don’t enjoy it), possibly laying the bait for a romantic conquest. The Sun is accompanied by mighty Jupiter until the 9th, suggesting encounters with people as royal and important as you! (Maybe more so!)

With a powerful Venus sitting on top of your horoscope all month, you certainly need to see and be seen and to be admired for your professional knowledge and super skills. Plus Mars remains in your skies until mid-month, lending you the dash of fierceness that takes you first to the ball and a goal (or apply sport of choice). True, the last ten days of the month, with Sun ruler and new Moon in your twelfth house (evasion, quietude) turn down the dial a little, but note well that Mercury arrives in your skies on the 27th and will not be leaving the Lion until September 2. In the midst of that epic stay, of course, comes the irksome retrograde of the comms planet (July 18-August 11) but play your cards cannily and it can put you at the centre of action across summer. Scheme on.

Virgo and Virgo rising

It’s a summer of transition when you get accustomed to a different climate. Principal among the changes is the incredible lightness of  living without Saturn and Neptune in opposition, of no longer being under someone else’s direction. You were not born merely to serve! True, these planets make a slight return later in the year, but their spell is broken. Ensuring you get the message comes Mars, arriving in your skies mid-month on June 17th to lend you a steely touch (one that will come in handy during next month’s retrograde of ruler Mercury).

Your ‘scope doesn’t lack for drama in June. In the opening week Jupiter make a brief but telling aspect to ruler Mercury, signalling a breakthrough in a career matter, or at least a change in the outlook. The giant planet’s new position over the next year softens work demands and makes you part of a team. You can network frantically in the second half of 2025. Meanwhile Venus in fellow earth sign Taurus smiles on travel, international contacts, passing examinations and romantic manoeuvres.

Libra and Libra rising

You have a good cop/bad cop situation going on in June. The bad cop is Saturn, now in opposition for three months. But it will be back in the new year to ensure you are keeping body, soul, and relationships in immaculate good order. If you were born close to the Autumn equinox, you may already be getting your collar felt, as they say.

Up at the peak of your ‘scope, good cop Jupiter takes up position for the next year from June 9, enhancing career prospects – you don’t necessarily get handed opportunities on a plate, but efforts are amply rewarded and the bigwigs smile on your input. They’d better.  With Mercury entering a three-month sojourn in your eleventh house of fellow travellers and small ‘p’ politics you meanwhile have lots to play for, professionally. The new Moon of June 25 opens a new chapter.

Your undisputed ruling body, fair Venus, is powerful this month, and lodged in your eight house of intense, perhaps sexual relationships, argumentative marriages, and money you don’t necessarily own (e.g. a shared mortgage). With a little luck you can duck options two and three and go straight to the first. Work on it.

 Scorpio and Scorpio rising

It’s been some time since you had a horoscope quite this dishy. Dominant is Venus, powerful in its own realm of Taurus, which is of course your complementary sign. This is a placement with many possible outcomes; a powerful crush, a reconciliation, a marriage with all the white bells and tin whistles, a trusted sidekick coming to your aid. It’s hard to see a downside here, but also in opposition  and about to move on is Prometheus, a planet that specialises in love-struck mania and abrupt bust-ups. With the oddball planet in the final degree of Taurus from June 17, such scenarios may swoop down on you, especially if you were born in the final degree of Scorpio on November 21.

Needless to say, this is an excellent month for those hunting for a partner, especially on the weekend of the 7th when Luna is in your skies.

Planets elsewhere give you further reasons to be cheerful. Ruler Mars remains at the top of your ‘scope, pushing your professional agenda on sharply, and even after the red planet has moved on at the 17th, will be courting allies on your behalf. Be among your team.

Then there is Jupiter. The planet of good fortune changes sign on June 9, moving to the fellow water sign of Cancer for the next twelve months; good news for all international contacts, long range trips, academic pursuits, and publishing. The new Moon of June 25 opens some doors.

 Sagittarius and Sagittarius rising

SagittariusYour horoscope is acquiring a very different outlook. Ruler Jupiter moves out of opposition on the 11th after a year stirring up personal relationships and partnerships, perhaps bringing ‘The One’ with it, perhaps propelling you on a lonesome highway (the country music version) or some point in-between. This coincides with the annual full Moon in the Centaur, so emotions are likely to be worn near the surface, so to speak, when you may decide to jump one way or the other-to  commitment or freedom.

It’s very early days to be deciphering the duo of Saturn and Neptune, now arrived in your fellow fire sign Aries, if only for a few months. The full works commence early in 2026. Since this is a zone of romance, relationships could, again, be uppermost, but creativity is also highlighted, and you may be incubating an inspirational work. In the third fire sign, Leo, Mars is finishing up and hits the peak of your horoscope on June 17, after which work and career become inescapable and perhaps for a spell, uncomfortable.

 Capricorn and Capricorn rising

Good news thrice over! First there is the arrival of Jupiter in opposition (from June 9), for the next twelve months, promising fulfilling partnerships, the company of people you admire and the odd benefactor (should you be in need, which is doubtful). The solstice looks a very upbeat moment, and the ensuing new Moon on the 25th, opens a whole new chapter in your personal life.

Simultaneously ruler Saturn hits the root of your horoscope along with Neptune, which turns up the dial marked ‘New Developments’ to number eleven, at least for those of your born just after the winter solstice. The third transit – Venus in your fifth house of love and recreation, casts its net wider to include all Capricorns by early July. In this position, Venus demands you push work to the back of the queue and exercise your right to party, flirt, and find intimacy. Throw in the odd masterpiece of your making while you are there. As if that wasn’t enough, from the 17th Mars is in fellow earth sign Virgo, offering the chance of escape. La Dolce Vita calls.

Aquarius and Aquarius rising

The season of airy Gemini is balm to the Aquarian soul, especially in the early part of June, when Jupiter completes its twelve month stay here on the 9th while a full Moon amplifies the joy. You can romp through to the solstice while getting things done, after which the errands and obligations begin to pile up. At least, after the 17th, you are rid of noisy Mars and can settle disputes with you know who.

Since work promises to be more demanding – and rewarding – with Jupiter in your sixth house of graft – the new Moon of the 25th may bring a fresh offer –  it’s important to balance things up with a change of scenery and /or a change of company. Friendships have a special place across summer and reassert themselves early in the new year. For actual romance you may have to wait until early July, when an explosive combination of Venus and Prometheus arrives. Meanwhile Venus is very keen on domestic harmony and getting a fresh lick of paint on your beautiful home.

 Pisces and Pisces rising

It’s a month of two – or is that three? – halves. The run-up to the solstice, with the Sun traversing your domestic zone, puts family and your cherished home at the centre of things, with any redecoration promising to extend into July. However,  your ruling planet, Jupiter, is keen to start the party and from the 9th, alongside Mercury, is in your fifth house of recreation, romance, and  creativity. Jupiter in Cancer is ‘exalted’ and therefore calls for your best efforts at self-realisation. Be your best and most authentic self no matter what the social and career compromises. You have an entire year of the giant planet, so there is no rush but equally, there is no point delaying plans when the Sun and a new Moon (on the 25th) are also involved.

Helping things move smoothly along is Venus, strong in Taurus in your third house, where you pick up energy from close friends and siblings. Partnerships have a more ambiguous quality once Mars arrives in opposition on the 17th, after which the red planet can bring either much needed zest to relationships, or spats and fallouts. Better to be preoccupied with your own affairs than to be dragged into quarrels. You also have to keep an eye on finances where the combination of Saturn and Neptune may test the belief of some Pisceans that the latter planet is your ‘modern ruler’.

 Aries and Aries rising

Your guardian planet, Mars, remains beautifully sited in Leo until the 17th, and with a full Moon in the third fire sign, Sagittarius, on the 11th, you can duck, dive, and show off for much of June. It’s Gemini season and you can do worse than follow the Twins’ example and be difficult to pin down, either geographically, emotionally, or politically.

However, the incoming planetary picture is more demanding. Saturn is already marching through the Ram’s skies, and those of you born near the Spring Equinox will be feeling its demands. If those include tying off a property deal, you are helped by the arrival of Jupiter at the root of your chart – said planet should help swing financial issues your way over the next year, and over the next five months especially enriching  home and family life. Right now is an excellent time to overhaul Aries Towers with a flourish of paint nd good taste. The other planet in the mix as June ends is Neptune, which may complicate matters. Don’t believe any story that is simply too good to be true – it won’t be!

Taurus and Taurus rising

A month-long residency by your undisputed ruler Venus, from the 6th, puts you in enchanted position whereby you can pursue your particular obsession – art, gardening, food, romance – in especially magnificent style. The cosmos is backing you in other ways, lending you an edge in competitions, bringing harmony to disputes, and helping you discover the frock of your dreams in sartorial matters.

There is a subtext of change involved as well. Prometheus, the planet that has been moving through  Taurus for the last seven years, is now about to move on, albeit only for four months before completing its transit at your next birthday. The disruptive planet is certainly strong in June, particularly for those of your birthdays near the end of your sign, for whom a parting of the ways may now be the only course of action.

The other planet muscling in on the action is Mars, which from the 17th will be occupying Virgo and your fifth house of fun and games, recreation, and creation. As if Venus wasn’t doing you enough favours, the red planet lends you a sporting edge and energy to burn. Enjoy.
